London Pearly Kings and Queens Costermongers Harvest Festival returned for its 25th Anniversary

The highly anticipated London Pearly Kings and Queens Costermongers Harvest Festival took place on Sunday, 24th September 2023 at 1.30pm at The Guildhall Yard, EC2V 5AE. This cherished event, now celebrating its 25th anniversary, brought together an array of entertainment, esteemed guests, and a vibrant procession, making it a must-attend event for Londoners and visitors alike.

The London Pearly Kings and Queens Costermongers Harvest Festival is a celebration of tradition, community, and the rich cultural heritage of the city. This year's event captivated attendees with an exciting line up of diverse entertainment. From live performances to traditional music and dance, the festival offered a remarkable experience for people of all ages.

The event was graced by the presence of esteemed guests, including Mayors from London and the home counties, Pearly Kings and Queens, city dignitaries, and distinguished Chelsea Pensioners. Their attendance not only added prestige to the festival but also highlights the significance of this beloved cultural celebration.

Starting at The Guildhall Yard, the festival also featured a spectacular procession that wound its way through the streets of London. Attendees had the opportunity to witness the iconic Pearly Kings and Queens adorned in their remarkable attire, reflecting the unique heritage and history they represent. The procession culminated at the historic St Mary le Bow Church, where a traditional harvest festival service took place, bringing together the community in a spirit of gratitude and unity.

Admission to the Harvest Festival was free, ensuring that everyone could participate and experience the warmth and joy of this remarkable event. Whether you're a long-time resident or a first-time visitor, this celebration of community and tradition was not to be missed.

The London Pearly Kings and Queens Society were back in the New Years Day parade. 

With over 7000 participants and many thousands watching it was a magical event.

The London Pearly Kings and Queens Society are proud to announce that The Pearly King and Queen of Somerstown Steve and Donna Deveraux have accepted our invitation to become honorary members. 

Donna is the great granddaughter of the Original Pearly King and our founder Henry Croft.
